The third European Carbon Black Summit will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, in June

Carbon black is an important industrial material, widely used in the manufacture of rubber, plastics, ink, coatings and other fields. Europe is one of the major regions for carbon black production and consumption in the world, but the recent war in Ukraine has caused a huge gap in traditional black supply, and the European carbon black market is facing a huge challenge.

To address these issues, the third European Carbon Black Summit, hosted by Active Communications Europe (ACEL), will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, on June 14-15, 2023.

The situation of the black carbon market in Europe is of great concern. The summit will be attended by senior representatives of the European carbon black industry, producers, technology developers, rubber producers, chemical suppliers, researchers and other influential stakeholders.

They will have in-depth discussions on the overview of the carbon black market in Europe, the impact of the war in Ukraine on the carbon black market, solutions to cope with supply chain disruptions, increasing the production capacity of scrap tire recycling carbon black (rCB), the policy framework and safety regulations for carbon black, and an overview of the existing standardization of rCB.

The shortage of carbon black supply is the most prominent problem in the European carbon black market. Some experts estimate that black carbon in Europe is in short supply by as much as 40 percent compared with before the war. How to improve the production capacity of carbon black is one of the keys to the sustainable development of carbon black industry. Therefore, the agenda of this summit will include the topic of increasing the production capacity of rCB, exploring solutions in terms of technological innovation and process improvement.

In addition to the shortage of supply, the European carbon black industry also faces environmental and sustainability problems. To improve the sustainability of the industry, black carbon producers need to seek greener production methods and improve environmental protection. Carbon black (rCB) as an environmentally friendly alternative has attracted more and more attention in recent years. However, there are still some problems in the production and use of rCB, such as the standardization of the production process and the quality control of rCB products. Therefore, the summit will also focus on improving the standardization of scrap tyre recycling carbon black (rCB) and the calculation of tyre life cycle. Through these measures, the European carbon black industry will further improve the quality of its products, but also better meet the needs of environmental protection, environmental protection and sustainable development.

The summit will also discuss the policy framework and safety regulations for the carbon black industry. In Europe, black carbon production and use is restricted by a number of policies and regulations.

Therefore, the carbon black industry needs to strengthen its own compliance management. At the same time, it also needs to cooperate with the government and regulatory agencies to develop a more scientific and reasonable policy framework to ensure the safety and sustainable development of the production and use of carbon black.

According to the carbon Black Industry network, the agenda of the summit also includes an overview of the standardization of rCB and the topics of the ASTM D36 committee on future standardization and its implementation in the rCB process. These issues will help promote industrial standardization of scrap tyre recycling carbon black (rCB), improve the quality and performance of rCB, and ensure the sustainable development of rCB in the industry.

The European carbon black industry is facing serious challenges, but also full of opportunities. With the continuous progress of technology and process, the carbon black industry can improve the quality and performance of products and better meet the market demand through the innovation and optimization of production technology.

The development of waste tire recycling carbon black (rCB) will promote the carbon black industry to achieve sustainable development, protect the environment and better serve the society. The European Carbon Black Summit will provide important ideas and guidance for the future development of the carbon black industry and promote the sustainable, healthy and stable development of the industry.
